  • Sheena Fiander is an accomplished health innovation project manager with over 11 years of experience driving impactful projects in the healthcare sector. She has successfully onboarded and executed high-value innovation projects, significantly enhancing operational efficiency. Sheena excels at identifying innovation opportunities, analyzing market trends, and offering strategic guidance to stakeholders. She is adept at building relationships with key stakeholders, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and navigating the dynamic health tech industry to achieve successful outcomes.

    In her role at DischargeHUB, Sheena leverages her extensive background to support the mission of enhancing patient care and streamlining discharge processes. Her strategic solutions are crucial in achieving quality discharge planning, smoother transitions, and improved communication across the care continuum.

    Sheena is currently pursuing a Master of Technology Management at Memorial University and holds a Bachelor of Human Resources & Labour Relations from Athabasca University, along with a Diploma in Business Administration from the College of the North Atlantic. She has earned specialized certifications in Public Sector Leadership and Management, digital marketing and social media, conflict management, client relations management, and disaster response. Inspired by international partnerships, Sheena is eager to contribute her expertise to advancing healthcare innovation globally.

  • Ed is a Solution Manager with the DischargeHUB team, focusing on the growth and expansion of the solution into new sites. In this role, he serves as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and maximizing the value of the DischargeHUB platform. Ed is committed to continuous improvement, implementing best practices, and leveraging digital automations to help streamline operations.

    Ed holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Memorial University of Newfoundland and recently completed a diploma in Software Development from Keyin College. This combination of business acumen and technical expertise drives innovative solutions and streamlines operations. Known for his exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, Ed is dedicated to driving innovation and delivering high-quality service.

     

  • Jane Hynes brings a dynamic blend of strategic leadership, operational expertise, and entrepreneurial spirit to her role on the Innovation team at Seafair Capital Inc. With a strong background in healthcare operations and community-based initiatives, she currently oversees DischargeHub at NL Health Services, helping drive system efficiencies and patient-centered care.

    Jane’s career spans executive roles including Director of Headway NL, where she managed PPE supply logistics during critical health system challenges, and as the former owner-operator of The Three Sisters Pub and Restaurant — a hands-on testament to her business acumen and people-first approach. Her governance experience includes serving on the board of the Port of Argentia and being elected to municipal government, where she championed local economic development and inclusive community planning.

    She holds diplomas in Managerial Accounting and Food Service and Nutrition Management, and has pursued professional development through Sandler Sales Training, Harvard Business Mentor review, and digital media and governance programs. Jane’s dedication to innovation and community engagement continues to shape her contributions across both the public and private sectors.

     

  • Sandra brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare coordination, staffing, and client service to her role as Patient Transition Liaison at DischargeHUB. With a deep understanding of healthcare operations, she is known for navigating complex systems with empathy, efficiency, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

    Her career includes coordinating clinical and allied health staff across hospitals and long-term care facilities for NL Health Services, ensuring appropriate skill mix, policy compliance, and responsiveness to urgent patient needs. Sandra has also held roles as a Pharmacy Assistant and Caseload Planner, where she sharpened her communication and problem-solving abilities.

    Early in her career, Sandra worked in Japan as an English instructor and program coordinator - an experience that deepened her skills in cross-cultural communication, adaptability, and leadership in diverse environments. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Linguistics from Memorial University and a post-diploma in Safety Engineering Technology from the College of the North Atlantic. At DischargeHUB, Sandra combines operational expertise with compassion to support patients through care transitions, improving outcomes and enhancing system-wide collaboration.

  • Tamara Wheeler is a Patient Transition Liaison with a strong background in customer success, healthcare innovation, and operations. Drawing from her experience in the health tech sector at companies like BreatheSuite and PragmaClin, Tamara brings a patient-centred approach to coordinating seamless transitions from hospital to home. 

    Tamara holds a proven track record of building relationships, improving workflows, and supporting vulnerable populations through clear communication and strategic coordination. She is also an active community leader and entrepreneur, known for launching the Twillingate Island Farmers Market and contributing to multiple nonprofit boards focused on tourism, and economic development.

  • Ayon is a strategic leader with over 15 years of experience spanning the realms of health, technology, social enterprise, housing, and public policy. With extensive business development, strategic planning and facilitation experience, Ayon brings a critical focus to ensuring strong communication and inclusive spaces that embrace divergent and convergent thinking.

    As President of Branch Innovations & VP of Innovation and Business Development at Seafair Capital, he spearheads transformative initiatives grounded in a deep focus on impact for community wellbeing, the healthcare system, and on entrepreneurial success. A skilled collaborator, Ayon forges strategic partnerships across government, private, non-profit sectors, navigating complex systems to drive ambitious, people-centred solutions. Prior his work with Seafair Capital, Ayon held influential leadership roles at Choices for Youth and Engineers Without Borders Canada.

    Ayon’s leadership extends to his active involvement in various boards and committees, including previous governance positions with the Canadian Housing and Renewal Association, the St. John's Tool Library, the City of St. John's Affordable Housing Committee, and the Catherine Donnelly Foundation. He is currently serving on the board of MusicNL and techNL, supporting DEIB initiatives in Newfoundland and Labrador’s technology ecosystem.

    In 2021, Ayon completed the Strategic Innovation Programme at the Oxford University Saïd Business School. In 2019, he received an Engineering Excellence Award from Queen’s University; and in 2015 he was named one of Atlantic Canada’s Top 50 Under 40.
